Kujang contributes to the development of behavior change communication policies, strategies, guidelines, and training packages to support communication interventions at Juba Strategic Consulting (JSC). She is an educator and humanitarian, with a wealth of knowledge in journalism and media studies, intercultural communication, health communication, behavior change communication, and communication for development. She has previously worked at Ohio Northern University, Ohio University, UNICEF South Sudan, and the American Red Cross. She is currently a doctoral candidate and completing her Ph.D. in health communication at Ohio University. She has also taught a slew of courses at the college and university level ranging from Health Communication, Global Healing Traditions, Persuasion, Communication and New Technology, Public Speaking, to Intercultural Communication. Kujang received her B.A. from Central State University and M.A. degrees from Ohio University and DePaul University. Broadly, Kujang’s research interests lie at the intersection of health policy, campaigns, and social and behavioral change. Specifically, she’s interested in child health, women’s health, diseases with epidemic potential, culture, and health disparities. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, hiking, engaging in retail therapy, and traveling to new destinations in her free time.
