Yi-Ting Elle Yang leads Love Binti International, an NGO focused on women’s empowerment and WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects in Uganda, Eswatini, and Taiwan. She has spearheaded initiatives such as drilling boreholes, rainwater collection, building bio-toilets, and promoting regenerative agriculture and community-supported agriculture (CSA). Yi-Ting has also provided menstrual hygiene education to over 150,000 girls and women and directed research on poverty alleviation with the Taiwan Social Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society. Additionally, she serves as Project Director for ICDF Taiwan’s Overseas Volunteer Program and as Deputy Secretary-General of the Uganda Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce. She holds an MPH from National Taiwan University, the first public health school in Asia and outside North America accredited by CEPH, and is a PhD candidate in Climate Change and Sustainable Development. At JSC, Elle is the technical consultant on climate. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, photographing, and gardening.
